JUST WRAPPING (BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE)
SATURDAY, MAY 5, 2012 12-2pm
At customer request (some of my favorite people, I might add), this class will be all about wrapping stones. Top drilled briolettes, center drilled, large hole, tiny hole…you name it, we are going to wrap it. Messy wraps are really in right now, so there is nothing to fear here. Learn how to use pins and wire to create beautiful gemstone drops to add to earrings, necklaces or whatever. Bring and assortment of stones from your bead soup and tools if you have them…you will need a round nosed and a flat nosed plier and a pair of wire cutters. Cost is $25. SATURDAY BASIC TUTORIALS (ALL LEVELS):

Join us for our every other month “Saturday Tutorials” series. This is the best opportunity to learn a new finishing skill or brush up your techniques. For one hour we will practice crimping and working with jump rings and for the second hour we will practice wrapping pins. Join us for one or both. Remember that practice makes perfect! Please note that there is no project associated with tutorials. If you have a started project that you want to finish, please do so after the scheduled tutorial time. Cost is $5 per tutorial plus materials.

Ladies night is just plain, old fun here at Wherefore Art Thou. Join us this month and we perfect out tool skills as we write out names, messages or whatever you desire in wire for pendants, bracelets and rings. You see this kind of work being sold at fairs and in SOHO and it is a great way to figure out how to use those tools once and for all. Project cost is $25 and includes all materials. The only tool needed tonight is a round nosed and flat nosed plier. If you own them, please bring them along…if not, we will share ours. Reservations are required. Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share. BYOB
METAL CLAY SERIES CLASS (INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED LEVEL):

Messy wraps are preferred for this project, so don’t be afraid. Our stones will then be dangled from lengths of chain that have wonderful movement and swing. SNAKE CHARMER CHAIN MAILLE BRACELET PART ONE AND PART TWO (INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED):

Yes, you are reading this one right. This class will be taught over two weeks so that you can take your time with those jumprings. This is a beautiful, two-tone bracelet that slithers around your wrist. You will LOVE it. You should bring your own set of flat nosed pliers for this class, as you will be working with them continuously. Also, you must be familiar with opening and closing jumprings for this one. Class is $50 for the two weeks. All materials purchased separately.
